Established in the late 1860s, the Wisconsin Seaman's Friend Society aimed to provide sailors with affordable lodgings away from the influences of gambling, drinking, and prostitution. This Temperance House stood on Erie Street.

Prior to its razing in 1967, the Blessed Virgin of Pompeii was a central aspect of Milwaukee's Italian community and a popular landmark because of its colorful exterior.
1932 photograph of the Toy Building, once located downtown at 736 N. 2nd Street. Built in 1913, the building was home to Charlie Toy’s Shanghai Chinese Restaurant.

One of the earliest available edition of the Wiskonsin-Banner, dated March 15, 1845. The Banner then was a weekly paper with a yearly subscription fee of 2 dollars to be paid in advance.
Photograph of the exterior of the former Third Church of Christ, Scientist. Located across the street from Sherman Park, this church was purchased in 1980 and housed the Schrager Auction Gallery until 2010.
